This BitSwitch can be used for triggering any function that will overload the allowable DCC decoder function amperage.  This condition occurs most often in G-Scale applications where smoke generators draw more current than is allowed by the DCC decoder and therefore need to be powered directly from the track.  This switch will allow the engineer to use direct track power for the smoke generator and still be able to turn the smoke generator ON/OFF utilizing DCC decoder functions allowing conservation of smoke fuel when the engine is parked on a siding or when the generator is dry.

This BitSwitch can also be used when ever it is necessary to control a power switch/relay for up to 1.5 amps using a DCC decoder function for control.
